Trichlorosilane, or (TCS), the main ingredient used in the production of Polycrystalline Silicon (Polysilicon), is a chemical compound containing silicon, hydrogen and chlorine. At high temperatures, it decomposes to produce silicon. The remaining, purified trichlorosilane is the principal source of ultrapure silicon used in the semiconductor industry and in the manufacture of PV solar cells.
U.S.-based SunSi Energies is charting a course to become one of the dominant Trichlorosilane (TCS) producers in the world. SunSi currently controls 45,000 MT (metric tons) of annual TCS production in China and the Company's plan is on track to substantially increase current capacity levels. As the only "pure play" public company in the world focused on TCS production, SunSi is quickly positioning itself to take advantage of one of the fastest growing trends and markets in the world today - the solar market.
Our goal is to create exceptional value for, and consistent communication with, our shareholders. We offer a unique opportunity to become involved with an exciting, international company poised to emerge as one of the largest revenue producing TCS producers in the world. Our leadership is confident that the SunSi expansion plan will enable the Company to achieve its objectives for the benefit of all of our shareholders.
